Healthy Chia Seed Treats
Have you had your dose of chia seeds today? They are rich in a TON of things that are good for you like omega-3 fatty acids, iron, calcium, fiber, protein and potassium…OH MY! If you don’t like to just add them to your water (or any other beverage for that matter) try out these healthy chia seed treats to get those bad boys in your body!
Coconut Lime Chia Seed Pudding
Giving you a recipe for that dang sweet tooth! Coconut Lime Chia Seed Pudding!
Ingredients:
1/2 Avocado
1 1/2 cups Coconut milk, unsweetened
3 tbsp Coconut butter
juice from 1-2 limes
1/4 cup grade b maple syrup
1/4 cup chia seeds
coconut whipped cream (optional)
Directions:
Add avocado, coconut milk, coconut butter, lime juice, and b-grade maple syrup to blender. Stir in chia seeds with spoon once all blended smooth. Freeze for 1-2 hours then top with coconut whipped cream.
Chia Seed Banana Split
Ingredients:
1 cup almond milk
1/2 banana
1/4 cup chia seeds
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 strawberry
Directions:
Blend almond milk, banana and vanilla extract. Stir in chia seeds and garnish with strawberry.
Chia Seed Fruit Pops
Ingredients
1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
2 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp unsweetened shredded coconut
1 tbsp grade b maple syrup
1 cup chopped up fruit
Directions
In a bowl mix together your coconut milk, chia seeds, syrup and shredded coconut. Place your chopped up fruit in the popsicle molds (pictured is kiwi strawberry and raspberry blackberry). Pour mixture into molds, over the fruit. Place in freezer for 5 hours or so.
Pop out & enjoy!
