5 years ago I decided to change my own life.
At the time, I was the typical corporate working mom. I was pregnant and had gained a ton of weight — NOT just of baby and pregnancy weight — but junk-food fat weight. I was 65 pounds heavier than I am today, and at 5’2″, that’s a lot of weight!
I changed my eating, my fitness regimen, and my mindset. I found a way to cook, eat, move my body, and envision a future that I wanted.
Some of you may not know this, by I lost my father to a heart attack at age 49 (no, he was not eating an unprocessed diet but instead had so many excuses as to why he was eating the way he was).
I am personally 44 years old, and the thought of not being here for my daughter kills me. Especially if I have the power to control what I eat! So I did – I took control and I went from a personal rock bottom to extremely happy, healthy, and fit!
