9 Weeks Post Distal Bicep Tear Repair

It’s been 9 weeks since my emergency surgery to repair my #distalbiceptear ! I tore it in Costa Rica 12 weeks ago and had major pain but had no idea it had ruptured. It did not happen from heavy lifting or anything crazy. It happened jumping in water.

Anyways, I’m sharing where I am in this video 9 weeks out today! Cast contraption thing came off a few weeks ago so now the focus is slowly gaining back my strength, regaining feeling in my hand and wrist.

I am still on one low dose persecription- gabbapentin for the nerve pain. I did hypnosis and so many natural remedies (cbd and more) which helped a lot (took me down from a level ten pain lol) but the low dose of gabbapentin helps me a LOT more right now. The side effect is hunger and YES it’s a thing- but the nerve pain was unbearable.

Goal is to be off that very soon! I’ve tried a few nights to skip it and that has been a bad idea so far lol.

Don’t judge unless you have nerve pain and damage!
