Best Bosu Ball Exercises for Abs and Core

Best Bosu Ball Exercises for Abs and Core

Did you know you can work your Abs and Core using the Bosu Ball?

If you’re anything like me, you probably don’t know what BOSU stands for!  Well, I’ll tell you. It’s stands for BOTH SIDES UP. You can face the blue or the black part down. It’s pretty amazing and as with all my exercises, you can make it as intense as you want to!

Are you ready to work your abs and core and become functionally fit? Let’s do this!

First, we’re going to place the blue side down and start in a push-up position on your toes, keeping your core tight. This is a little more challenging than a regular plank position because you are throwing off your balance and involving more stabilizer muscles.

Now, once you’re  in this position you can challenge yourself by rocking it side to side, working your arms and your chest. If you need to create more of a balance, you can place those feet further apart (about shoulder distance).  I’m all about mini breaks if you need them.

Next, you’re going to bring your knees up to the opposite elbow, keeping your arms strong and your core tight.

Now… let’s turn the BOSU ball over, with the black side down, and get into a push-up position in a plank. All you’re going to do is go down on each forearm one at a time and bring them back up. Using the BOSU ball to work your abs and core is a great workout and it helps you become functionally fit. Good luck!!!
