#1 – Create Vision Board or Motivation Board
I know it sounds silly, but you need to create some sort of vision or motivation board with images of things that will get you in the mindset of what you want to move towards. Have you wanted that bathing suit, but just don’t feel you’re “quite ready to wear a bikini?” Do you have that reunion coming up and you just want to look smokin’ hot, but don’t have the motivation to get there? You need to start somewhere. Create a vision board!!! You can also find someone that motivates you and start following them through various social media sites.
#2 – Find something that makes you feel good
What makes you feel good about yourself? Is it a cute workout outfit? A new pair of shoes? What can you put on that will motivate you to get out there and get some exercise?
#3 – Stay Hydrated
I know this is common advice, but you need to stay hydrated! Your body depends on water to survive! If that’s not enough to make you want to drink water, they sell great fruit infusion water bottles these days where you can add fruit and make it flavored! Super refreshing!
#4 – Just Start
It’s not about finding that perfect “gym to join” or perfect “DVD” to watch and follow, or that perfect “circuit training.” JUST START!!! You can do little things over time that will make a difference! Maybe it’s simply cleaning your house, gardening outside, dancing, or a sunset stroll on the beach… it all adds up!
#5 – Walk More
It’s not that hard! Park your car further away from the store, walk instead of sitting while you’re talking on the phone, walk to the mailbox every day, not just every other! Walk around different parts of your neighborhood that you’ve never seen before!
#6 – Do What Motivates You
Dance class? Tennis? Walk with a friend? What activity can you do that motivates you and makes you feel good about yourself?
