For those of you who have been following me you know I am a HUGE fan of body weight training and CORE exercises that challenge your stabalizer muscles and help you get and stay FUNCTIONALLY fit! Handstands fit right into this. Why? Because they force you to progress, really challenge you, engage your core and require amazing shoulder and arm strength. I taught myself how to do them and want to share this with you in this short video clip here.

Disclaimer… Keeping it real- I am not a yoga instructor and I am certainly not a handstand expert. There are many ways to learn to do this. Mine are not as graceful as the talent in cirque soleil BUT this is how taught myself and you can too!

First, work on walking your feet up the wall to standing position (you will get an amazing shoulder and core workout) once you are strong enough to do THAT, kick up against the wall!
