They say great things don’t happen when you’re in your comfort zone and 49 degrees is definitely not my comfort zone! Listen, it’s NOT easy fully submerging yourself into a freezing cold bath, let’s be honest. BUT are THREE main reasons I had to have The Cold Plunge and why I choose to use it:

I was really drawn to The Cold Plunge because of how clean it looks and how easy it is to use. Because it’s more modern looking and not ugly, it isn’t an eye sore wherever you choose to put it and because there is no plumbing required (amazing, right?!), you can literally put it anywhere. All you have to do is fill it with water (I used a hose) and the built-in pump and filter systems keeps your water clean and cold.

I love that you don’t have to change the water with each cold plunge because the filter it has does all of the cleaning work for you! Quite the difference from the first cold plunge I ever did, which was literally a huge bucket of ice that requires you to constantly have to refill it with ice (and it doesn’t get clean, so it breeds bacteria – yuck!)

Super Clean and Low Maintenance

The Cold Plunge has a built-in filtration and water treatment system that consists of five-micron water filtration, ozone sanitation, and ultraviolet (UV) sanitation. This combination ensures that bacteria, mold, or viruses won’t grow in the water. As a result, you don’t have to replace the water as you do with most other cold plunge options.

They also have a water maintenance set available for purchase that contains six replacement filters and three chlorine and bromine-free treatment solutions to prevent waterline deposits, to keep your water clear (by oxidizing organic compounds), and to add another layer of bacteria control.

Seamless Delivery and Easy to Install

The Cold Plunge has a FREE shipping agreement (to the lower 48 states) that blew my mind. Upon your FREE delivery, FedEx wheeled the tub to where we wanted it (anywhere on the first floor), took the Plunge out of the box and removed all packing materials so we didn’t even have to think about disposal. Amazing!

After it was unpacked, it was so easy to set up. You connect the water and the drainage, plug in the chiller (the temperature control unit) to a GFCI outlet, attach the provided water filter to a hose, and then fill up the tub with water! Once it ‘s full, you turn on the chiller, set it to your target temperature (my husband sets it to 49 degrees but it can go as low as 39 degrees) and the water chills overnight. That’s it! So easy!
