06 Nov Think…For The Children
As a mom, there is NOTHING more important to me than my children…
We all love kids, especially our own. Sure, there are those moments when we want to pull our hair out, but I can honestly say that my daughter brings me more happiness than words can convey. What I did not know until spending the weekend with my good friend Terry, who is the president of the non-profit awareness group – The American SPCC (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) is the extent that so many children are not in loving situations where they can enjoy their innocence and experience life as many of us have.
Did you know:
• EVERY five days the equivalent of a classroom of American children dies from abuse or neglect.
•It is estimated that ONE out of every TWO American children will be directly harmed by this epidemic.
•12.5 million American children will be sexually molested before the age of 18.
•The U.S. has more child maltreatment deaths than any other industrialized nation, ranking highest in both the total number of deaths and deaths on a per capita basis.
•The U.S. is one of only two countries that have not ratified the United Nations treaty protecting children. The other is Somalia, which has no government.
So, how can you help? Easy, for only 1 or 2 CENTS donation per child that died last year, you can help the American SPCC tackle this problem that is hard for many people to talk about. A 2-cent per child donation equated to only $30.00 and you get a very cool ‘THINK’ t-shirt.
YOU CAN HELP….and, you can get a cute THINK t-shirt to help spread the message about the American SPCC!

Thanks for taking the time to check out this cause! They have a lot of good information for parents on how to keep your child safe. If you don’t know about, or have a ‘safe word’ for your child, then you should definitely check the site.
