“If you can visualize it, you can achieve it!”
But you have to actually visualize it first, and I’m going to show you EXACTLY how to do that in the video below.
If you enjoyed this video, and would like more info on getting your mind right, I have a FREE 4 part video series that goes into more depth, including the 7 keys to success, myth busting, and how to find motivation so you can achieve your goals and be your best YOU!
A story that began with a little De Ja Vu
I was in Palm Dessert a few months ago I was on a hike with my boyfriend and one of his good friends. We were at a strenuous part of the hike, it was actually more like a rock climb at this point. His friend was above me and reached out to give me a helping hand. As I reached up to grab his hand, I had a de ja vu moment. The exact picture of what was in front of me was on the vision board I had created a while back!
Hmmmmm, I guess I’ll do a vision board
I am getting ready to move in a few weeks and as I was cleaning through stuff I came across one of my old vision boards. I made this particular one when I was in a bad place. I was going through a divorce, I was a new mom, I was leaving a house I loved, and I was feeling sad & hopeless. I was just beginning to pick up the pieces and move on with a better life and I made a vision board. At the time, the items I put on the board seemed impossible. They were all things I wanted and wished for, but seemed so far out of reach. I included them on my vision board anyway and started to do the work towards achieving them. The crazy thing is when I look at that vision board now, I see that just about EVERY SINGLE thing has come to fruition!
Transformation STARTS in the mind. You have to want it, believe it and visualize it. If you can visualize your transformation, your goals your desires, visualize them every day, every where- you will move towards them. The simplest way to define what you true visions are and start moving forward in the direction of achieving them is with a Vision Board.
Who do YOU want to become?
Do you want to be healthier? Stronger? Slimmer? Fitter? How about to live in a new home? Do you want to drive a new car? Have a family? Have a great relationship? If you can VISUALIZE those things happening, you CAN achieve them! I am not discounting the fact that you have to WORK for results…believe me, you DO. There are NO shortcuts to the work, but without VISUALIZING the process first, you won’t ever get started. You can’t just visualize, wish and dream; you HAVE TO DO THE WORK. Vision boards are a very powerful TOOL to help keep you on track while working towards and achieving your goals.
Vision Boards – A fun & revealing project!
It is a fun and easy project to make a vision board. All you need is a blank poster board, some roll-on glue, scissors, and your favorite magazines. The more magazines and variety of magazines you can go through the better. Use housing, vacation, fitness, style, and business magazines. Go through the magazines and start cutting and tearing. Cut out any picture, phrase or word that appeals to you. Don’t go into this with a plan or direction, just see what appeals to you and make that pile! I do this every year and pull out pictures of scenery, houses, animals, physiques, happy expressions, quotes, words, and everything else that appeals to me.
Now comes the building part: Pick your FAVORITES from your collection and start gluing your collage into a vision board. Glue them on, arrange it in an appealing way.
Visualize and move towards your goals: Put your vision board some where you will see it DAILY. Pick a spot- your kitchen, your closet, wherever you START your day and can stare into it.
Amazing things happen once you create and use your vision board. You start to MOVE towards your vision and you start to do the work to make your goals happen. I have made a vision board every year for the last several years and it is always amazing to look back at previous vision boards… those visions more often than not come to fruition. So what are YOU waiting for? Go create your own vision board!
Excuses or solutions…YOU decide!
