Modeling

Behind the scenes

Photo shoots can certainly be fun! What you may not know however, is that there is normally a fair amount of “behind the scenes” work that goes into those perfect shots. The model in the shoot needs to be on point but even more critical is the right photographer.  A great photographer knows how to work with lighting as well as talent to get the best images. I have been fortunate enough to work with some amazing photographers. If you are looking to update your portfolio, PAY for the best photographer you can afford that has the style you are looking for.

Preparation –  I don’t change my diet much before a shoot as I stay pretty consistent throughout the year. I do watch my salt intake the week prior to a shoot. To see what I eat year round to stay photo shoot ready look HERE. I also am a huge fan of having the the right makeup artist on hand for my photo shoots. If the photographer I am working with does not have one on hand, I will bring my own.  Finally, I can’t leave out my tip for great looking skin.  A quality UV-free airbrush or spray tan from ITAN. If I am traveling outside of California, and there is no ITAN around,  I am always sure to bring my products to maintain my ITAN UV free tan with my “Kona Tanning Gradual tanner”.
